Made with parika, Caboclo-Parika hapés were once only used by experienced Pajés (healers), as part of their process of reaching out to spirits and during healing rituals, and due to its grounding quality, it is a prime choice of snuff for daily meditation and spiritual opening. This beautiful herbal medicine offers strength, vigor, a sense of grounding as well as restoration, and physical energy. It also has tsunu ash and eucalyptus leaf.

Hapé is a very sacred snuff, made by the indigenous tribes of the Amazon. Hapé, or rapé,’ is pronounced ‘haa-pay’ in English. It is used for deep connection to the spirits, animals and Mother Nature, it is very cleansing and powerfully healing for the body, mind, and soul. Hapé is made with small leaves NOT grown for commercialization or genetically hybridized with high amounts of nicotine, thus it has none of the negative properties that commercial cigarettes have. Instead, it is grown and made in deep reverence for the and for Mother Earth. It is a very powerful plant, that has the power to heal, and when abused and not treated with respect, can cause harm. In this way it is a plant that is very revered by the Native people, and is said to be a Grandfather medicine, full of ancient wisdom and the ability to carry our prayers to Creator.
This sacred medicine takes days to make and is a very labor intensive process made in a ceremonial way, out of various Amazonian healing medicinal plants, leaves, trees and seeds from native lands.
Application : This medicine can be be self-administered using a V-shaped self-applicator pipe, known as a ‘Kuripe’ pipe which connects the mouth to the nostrils. It can also be administered by another person using a large blow pipe, called a ‘Tepi’, which connects the blower’s mouth to the other person’s nostrils.
Use:Start with a dime sized amount to begin your practice. Pour the medicine into your palm, say a prayer and align with the spirit of the . Using either your kuripe or the Tepi, load half into the pipe for the first nostril. If self applying, inhale, insert the long nostril of the pipe into your nose, and the smaller side in your mouth. Exhale and blow strongly. This is the hardest part because it requires centering yourself and giving yourself a strong, powerful application. In time, your ability to do this will grow and you’ll be able to use this as a tool to organize and center yourself whenever necessary. After you are applied, sit for 5-10 minutes in meditation.

Set & Setting: Create ceremonial space to commune with this medicine.Take time in meditation beforehand to set your intention.
Application: Hapé can be self-administered using a V-shaped self-applicator pipe, known as a ‘Kuripe’ pipe which connects the mouth to the nostrils. It can also be administered by another person using a large blow pipe, called a ‘Tepi’, which connects the blower’s mouth to the other person’s nostrils.
Use:Start with a dime sized amount to begin your practice. Pour the medicine into your palm, say a prayer and align with the spirit of the hapé . Next, scoop half of the hapé into the nose end of the pipe and gently tap it with a finger to settle the powder into the kuripe’s v-shaped elbow. With the Kuripe loaded, inhale a deep breath and hold it while placing the correct ends of the pipe comfort-ably into the left nostril and between lips. With eyes closed gently exhale the breath, blowing the hapé up the left nostril first, and then the right. After you have applied, sit for 5-10 minutes in meditation, feeling the effects. Always work with this plant ally in a ceremonial setting, in reverence and prayer. Hapé should never be consumed habitually or socially.
